Tom's Tip of the Week!

My lift is making noises, what does that mean?

  • If your lift is making a noise start by checking your connections. First, unplug the handset remote and re-insert the remote into the control box using the palm of your hand. Next, unplug the actuator cable. Then, re-insert the cable and try operating the lift.
  • Also make sure to check the battery and control box terminals for any corrosion. If needed you can clean terminals with an alcohol wipe or q-tip with alcohol.
  • If your lift is beeping, chances are your battery needs to be put on a 24 hours charge. If after charging for 24 hours and this still does not correct the issue, chances are your battery needs to be replaced. Contact customer service.
  • If your lift is making a clicking noise contact customer service. Your control box may need to be replaced.
  • If your lift is making a grinding noise you will need to contact customer service. Before calling attempt to determine if the grinding is coming from the structure of your lift or the electronics.
